In a little over 24 hours, it will officially be time for The Game. With Thanksgiving in the rearview mirror, all the attention returns to beating Team North in one of the most anticipated clashes between these two rivals in some time. Throughout the week the intensity increased, and you can surely hear LL Cool J’s âIt’s Time for Warâ playing over and over in your head. Whether you are nervous, confident or unsure of how you are feeling, this game brings out all the emotions, and luckily the wait is almost over.
With Thanksgiving Thursday, recruiting doesn’t always feature a ton of headlines, but you can guarantee it’s still high on the minds of the coaching staff, as they’ve basically shown there isn’t a days off when training at Ohio State. Still, there was good news, as the Buckeyes found their name on a short list of schools for a 2023 rookie. As we’ve seen more often than not, when Ohio State offers a preparation perspective, they are usually taken into consideration until the very end. Thursday was no different.
Bucks makes the cut for 2023 four stars
So far in the 2023 class, Ohio State has three guys in the fold. With two of them being top targets in the state and one outside of Tennessee, the Buckeyes are seeing what was a fairly slow start start to take off with some momentum. It is not for lack of effort or attention to the current 2022 cycle for reasoning that the 2023 class has yet to take off, but as the end gets closer and closer for the current recruiting class. , the prospects for the next cycle are sure to begin. take a few steps in their respective recruitments, whether it is engagements or simply narrowing their list of offers to a handful of top-notch teams.
The Buckeyes made the cut for a 2023 four-star goal on Thursday when Your Mother Robinson used his Twitter account to post a list of the last 10 programs he’s still considering. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound athlete from Pittsburgh, Pa., Is currently ranked as the eighth best rusher in class as well as the No. 108 player nationally and third-ranked player in his home state, all according to the 247Sports Composite. With at least 14 offers under his belt, reducing his list to 10 is proof that he is moving forward in the process and is already deciding who he wants to take a closer look at as he goes through the cycle.
A true athlete on the defensive side of the ball, Robinson can play anywhere, and the position he plays at the next level will simply depend on how his body develops. With a whole year to still grow physically before ending his high school career, it’s a safe bet that this will be the case. Whether as a linebacker, rusher or even in safety, Robinson flashes on his flagship film in multiple ways. On cover with his ball skills and even when stopping the run, he’s not afraid to come down and be an asset in the box. All of these traits make sense when you also consider that he’s a solid basketball player as well, which only further proves his athleticism.
Making the cut for Robinson includes Pitt, Texas, Ole Miss, Penn State, Notre Dame, Michigan, South Carolina, West Virginia, Cincinnati and of course Ohio State. According to 247Sports Crystal Ball, there are currently no predictions submitted, so this recruiting appears to be fairly open. Ohio State is heavily invested with other linebacker targets, especially Troy Bowles, who is the fourth best at position in class 2023. Clearly a position of need, defensive staff and the Buckeyes will be looking to bring in several guys who could play any number of spots in their plan. Beyond state borders, it should be easy enough to see if the state of Ohio is making Robinson a real priority.
